I saw a piece on the CBS Evening News last night about the efforts of our troops in Afghanistan. Scott Pelley was reporting on how dangerous and difficult the mission there is. I reflected on this today, while I ran my daily chores and realized how blessed we are to be able to go about our business, while in so many other parts of the world simply getting food for the day can be a life threatening event. I have to say I am deeply grateful for our founding fathers wisdom and the constant vigilance of our government and the men and women who risk their lives daily to assure we remain free. Thomas Jefferson said "The price of freedom is eternal vigilance." We are thankful.
