This weekend I will be working on a paper that is due. I have to take the time to analyze my research and write the paper. So the blogs for the weekend will be short and the quotes will speak of dedication. I have made it no secret how important getting my Masters Degree is to me. Roger Staubach former quarterback for the Dallas Cowboys said, “Confidence doesn't come out of nowhere. It's a result of something...hours and days and weeks and years of constant work and dedication.” I believe if you want something and you are willing to work hard for it, you can earn it.
One of my favorite movies is The Natural with Robert Redford who played Roy Hobbs, a very talented baseball player who lost his way because of a mistake. In the movie the love of his life, Iris Gaines (played by Glenn Close) said, “You know, I believe we have two lives.” “The life we learn with and the life we live with after that.” So, off I go to learn and write. Someday, I will take what I have learned today and apply it where my education, experience and talents will be useful and productive. At least that's the plan.
