Daily Mood Quote - May 6, 2011

Daily Mood Quote
Day Two - May 6, 2011

Humor is the great thing, the saving thing. The minute it crops up, all our irritation and resentments slip away, and a sunny spirit takes their place. ~Mark Twain

Sometimes it's hard to find humor when facing life's challenges. That's where a sense of humor comes in. Like other senses, it gathers information. All we need to do is process it. It truly is humanity's sixth and best sense. While religion and government may try to take the credit for civilization, without a sense of humor, mankind would have long since perished from this earth.

I have a dog named Chester, he is truly a big, loveable, dumb as a rock dog. A genuinely goofy animal.

Yesterday afternoon, when homework was being done, the phone was ringing and tensions were running a little high. Suddenly, Chester sprang up from his nap and sprinted to the door, barking frantically. My daughter went to the door to see why he was barking and there was nothing there. She looked at him quizzically and asked him, “Did you get a double dose of stupid today?” causing us all to bust out laughing (thank you Little Fockers). Tensions gone, sense of humor had done it's job. Our comic defender strikes again... Thanks Chester for being so goofy.

Look for the funny in your day, today.

Tune in tomorrow for the Daily Mood Quote.
